Norma Lee Crabtree was born October 19, 1937 to George and Orel Jepson in Viola, Arkansas. She departed this life on April 2, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jay Bennett Crabtree and her brother, Donald Wayne Jepson.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Crabtree, Douglas Crabtree (Reelin), Alan Crabtree, David Crabtree and grandson, Jeremy Jay Crabtree.
Norma and Jay loved to travel, usually taking a cruise each January. They enjoyed visiting different locations, many of which Norma photographed for use in her artwork. They especially enjoyed their trip to Scotland in 2006.
Both attended the University of Arkansas and were avid Razorback fans. Norma continued her education at Tulane University, obtaining a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She was an exceptional artist who excelled in the use of water color, oils and pencil. Portraits were Norma’s specialty. Her work can be seen in many homes and businesses, including the foyer of Mt. Carmel Community at the Village where she resided.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Community located at 540 Ponce de Leon Drive in Hot Springs Village, Carol Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations/memorials to the charity of your choice
